Calls with Jo · pay what you think it's worth
A working call with me, and you choose the price.
Sixty minutes on your marketing, your ads, your email or your AI.
You pay beforehand, in any amount above the minimum, and leave with written notes and a list of what to do first. You do the work yourself, with a clear idea of what's worth doing.
One call or four · prices include GST · advice, not done-for-you

Whitsundays, QLD
People ask me the same kind of thing, and a call is the quickest answer.
Owners and marketers ask me how to set something up, why it isn't working, and what I'd do first. Writing that out takes longer than saying it, and the answer depends on what's on your screen.
I don't know yet what an hour of this is worth to different people, and a fixed price would only be a guess. So you set it. The suggested amount is what I'd pick if I had to choose one number, and the minimum covers my costs. I give the call the same attention at any amount.
One call, or four across a month and a bit.

01Your marketing system
Where your customers come from, what each channel is for, and the few numbers worth checking every week. We finish with a one-page map you can run yourself.
02Your AI business system
Which jobs in your business suit AI and which should stay with a person, and how to build the first one in your own accounts, with a check before anything reaches a customer.
03Getting started with AI agents
What an agent can and can't do, what to try first, what it costs to run, and how to keep it on a short lead. I'll show you how I run my own back office.
04Your Meta ads results
Account structure, creative, audiences, budgets and tracking. Bring the account and we'll look at what's happening, judged on your store's sales and not only on what Meta reports.
05Your email marketing results
Klaviyo flows and campaigns: which flows to build first, what to fix in the ones you have, how to segment, and how to tell whether email is earning.
06Your lead generation
Lead forms, landing pages, follow-up and the cost per lead that makes sense for what a customer is worth to you.
07Your store and checkout
Shopify and WooCommerce setup, Stripe payment links, and tracking you can trust: GA4, Google Tag Manager, the Meta pixel and Conversions API.
08Being found
Practical SEO, Google Business Profile, and making your products easy for AI shopping agents to read. I built the Agent-Ready Shop plugin for WooCommerce, so I can tell you what's worth doing.
09What your marketing really earned
The Profit Check method, taught on your own numbers: your store's net sales divided by every dollar spent on ads, with the platforms' claims beside it.
10Something else
Canva and brand visuals, content planning, starting a podcast or video show (I host The Jo Show), or a problem that doesn't fit any of the above. Tell me in the prep form.
Five steps.
- 01
Choose your price and pay
You pay beforehand by card through Stripe, in any amount above the minimum. You'll get a GST invoice by email.
- 02
Book a time
Straight after paying you land on a page with my calendar. Pick a slot that suits you. Times are Brisbane time.
- 03
Fill in a short prep form
About ten minutes: what you want to get done, a few links and what you've already tried. I read it before we talk.
- 04
We talk for 60 minutes
On video, with screen sharing. I don't need your passwords. You drive, and I tell you what I'd do.
- 05
Notes within one business day
A written summary of what we decided, with the first things to do in order. You can email me follow-up questions for a week afterwards.
What I'll do, and what's yours to do.
What you get
- Sixty minutes with me, prepared beforehand from your prep form
- Written notes within one business day: what we decided and what to do first, in order
- Email follow-up questions for seven days after each call
- A GST invoice for your records
- For the pack: four calls, one a week for four weeks, with notes after each one, so each call can build on the last
What you do yourself
- The work itself. You set it up, change it and run it. I don't log in to your accounts or do it for you.
- Show up with your accounts open and your prep form filled in, so the hour goes on your problem.
- Judge whether it worked. Results depend on your business and what you do next, and I can't promise sales.
This is for you if
- You run a small business or look after marketing for one, and you're happy to do the work yourself once you know what to do.
- You have a specific problem, or a general "where do I even start", and would like an experienced person to look at it with you.
- You're curious about AI agents and want to start with something sensible, built in your own accounts.
It isn't for you if
- You want someone to do it for you. My Profit Check, fixes and AI setups are for that, and they're scoped in writing.
- You want a guaranteed result. Nobody honest can give you one.
- You need legal, tax or medical advice. I'm a marketer who builds systems.
What I've done, with the context.
- Since 2017
- I've run ads, email and tracking for independent product brands since 2017. Two of my first clients, Easy Exercising and Cienna Designs, are still with me.
- Lead generation
- For Easy Exercising, a Messenger flow brought the cost per lead down 61% to A$6.42, and the share of leads who went on to a free trial rose from 17% to 26%.
- Ads and email together
- A creator's try-on video, backed with ads and email, took Cienna Designs to A$52,633 in sales in seven days. It sold so well it crashed their old site, so I rebuilt the store on Shopify.
- Tracking and appeals
- For the Asylum Seekers Centre's 2022 Tax Appeal, the cost per donation fell 39% and the appeal beat its goal by 23%.
- AI systems
- I've built an AI back office that does my routine checking and drafting, so I spend about a fifth of the time I used to on the tools. I've also built a quoting assistant for a solar company, two Shopify apps for a client that save her over A$1,500 a year, and the Agent-Ready Shop plugin.
- Teaching
- I'm a Queensland Government Mentoring for Growth mentor, McKee Creative was a Small Business Champion Awards finalist in 2020 and 2021, and I host The Jo Show, where I talk with founders about what worked.
Client figures are as reported at the time, mostly by Meta ad reporting, and results differ from business to business. See the case studies for the full stories, and my builds as a gallery for the AI work. Past results don't promise future ones.
What does "pay what you think it's worth" mean here?
You choose the amount at checkout. I've pre-filled a suggested price, and there's a minimum that covers my costs. Pay more if the call is worth more to you, or less if money is tight, down to the minimum. The call is the same at any amount.
How did you choose the suggested price and the minimum?
The suggested price is roughly what I'd charge for an hour of this if I had to pick one number. The minimum covers GST, card fees and the time I spend preparing and writing up notes. Both include GST.
Will you do the work for me?
No. These calls are advice for you to act on. If you'd rather hand a job over, the Profit Check, my fixes and AI setups are priced and scoped in writing.
What should I bring?
Your prep form, and your accounts open on the day (Meta Ads Manager, Klaviyo, your store admin, whatever we're working on). You can share your screen, so I never need a password.
Do I get a recording?
I take notes and send them within one business day. If you'd like a recording, say so at the start and I'll record it for you.
How does the pack of four work?
Four 60-minute calls, one a week for four weeks from your first call. You do the work between calls and bring the results back the next week. If something comes up, tell me and we'll sort it out. It's a one-off payment and it doesn't renew.
What if I need to reschedule?
Tell me at least 24 hours before and we'll move it, no charge.
What if the call isn't useful?
Email me within seven days of the call and I'll refund what you paid for it. For the pack, I'll refund the calls you haven't had yet, and the ones you have had if you tell me they didn't help. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are unchanged. The full policy is on the refunds page.
I thought you didn't take calls.
The rest of McKee Creative runs in writing, and I like it that way. These calls are a separate thing, for people who'd rather work something out in conversation. The written follow-up keeps it in the same spirit.
Can someone from my team join?
Yes, up to three people from your business. Add their names to the prep form.
Who sees what I tell you?
Only me. I use what you send to prepare for the call and I don't share it. The detail is in my privacy policy.
I'm outside Australia. Can I still book?
Yes. Prices are in Australian dollars and calls run in Brisbane time, so check the slots against your own time zone.
Choose the call, then pick your time.
